Our bulk messaging tool will help you reach more consumers with personalized and specific touchpoints to drive engagement. Use bulk messaging to promote your brand, check in with consumers, announce special offers, and much more.
Bulk Messaging Features:
- Mass Mailing - send messages, reminders, and pitches to configurable groups of leads.
- Personalization - our new library of 20 personalization tokens will allow you to create individualized messages that consumers are more likely to engage with.
- Filters - configure specific send lists based on the leads' age and activity so your messages can be more specific and engaging.
- Consumer opt-out - consumers can now opt out of receiving messages from specific installers, so you'll waste less time with leads you're not likely to close.
- Active conversation exclusions - consumers who have replied to previous mass messages will be excluded from future sends so you won't confuse or overwhelm high-intent leads who have already shown interest in your business
How to Send Bulk Messages
Navigate to “My Marketplace” > “Messages” > “Bulk Message”
Step 1: Filter to the user segment you would like to message:
There are several filters available to help you curate a list of prospects to receive any bulk message. All filters are optional, however, there are default filters built to benefit consumers and installers which cannot be altered, read more below.
Filters include:
- Customers active between - choose the range in which the recipients of this message should have been active on the marketplace most recently.
- Property received between: choose the range in which you received this lead. This is the same as the "approval date". If you want to exclude shoppers you just quoted, use this date filter.
- Number of messages sent - decide how many previous bulk messages the recipients of this new message should have or have not received.
- State: choose leads in a specific state, or choose "All States"
- Lead ownership - decide if you'll send to only the leads owned by you, or leads owned by every rep at your company.
A note about default filters:
All bulk messages have a set of default filters that cannot be removed. Bulk messages will only be sent to users who ....
- You've received in the past 6 months
- Have never sent you a message
- Have received less than 7 messages from you

Are not unsubscribed from your messages
- Have not already received a bulk message from you that day
Installers can also manually opt any individual homeowner out of bulk messaging by clicking into the lead and selecting “Disable Bulk Message” on the right side of their profile page, under “Customer Information".
Click Filter!
You must click "Filter" before you'll be able to write your message.
Step 2: Write your message and preview before sending
Write your message
Write a compelling message to the group of leads you've selected through your filters. The best messages are always personalized and specific. After you use filters to define your audience, write a message that is relevant to that group.
Use our library of personalization tokens to add data from shoppers' accounts to make your message more unique and compelling. Our glossary of personalization tokens is available below your draft.

Step 3: Review and send! 📬
The “Send” button will only be available after selecting both “Preview Message” and “Filter”. Click send to deliver the message to your filtered list of shoppers.
Within the bulk messaging interface, select “Bulk Messages Sent”
This will display a full list of each bulk message sent using the bulk messaging process on the platform. It will NOT include mass messages sent via the lead emails report or the marketplace activity report.
FAQ
Will individual messages still show up in the message center?
Yes! Individual messages will be displayed both in the list included in the corresponding bulk message, and in the message center for both the installer and the homeowner
Why can I only send 7 messages?
95% of customers that respond to a message on the platform respond to one of the first 7 messages.
Is message 1 the first message or the first follow-up message?
The quote includes the first message so always start with 1 in the “Messages sent” field!
Is there a maximum number of messages I can send at once?
Nope!
Can you send more than 7 messages if you are not bulk messaging?
yes!
Can you include a hyperlink?
no.
Can I exclude individual homeowners?
Yes. You can click into that customer's detail page and click "disable bulk message" on the right-hand side. This will exclude them from any of your future bulk messages.
Can I see the recipients/list before sending?
No, you cannot see the list before sending but you will be able to see this after your message is sent. To do this, navigate to "Bulk messages" > "Sent" and click into the desired subject line. You will then be able to see the full list, total number of recipients, and the content of the message.
