December 2024: Quote List View

EnergySage has updated our quote list view for homeowners helping them easily compare options and engage with installers.

 

What’s changed? 

After user research and testing, we've redesigned quote cards to focus on presenting the most essential information. These cards provide a brief preview of:

  • Your company's marketing pitch
  • Key details like your star rating, location, and logo
  • Key metrics like upfront cost, 25-year savings, and needs met 

We've also reduced the number of calls-to-action to just one, making the updated design more intuitive and helping shoppers make decisions while building stronger connections with installers.

Why did we make this change? 

Our objective is to streamline the information presented to homeowners during the early stages of their shopping experience, focusing only on what is essential. We removed PPW and equipment from this view as it was too early in the process for most customers. We want homeowners to consider these factors on pages that provide more context.

We will continue to iterate on this design to fully optimize our homeowner's experience. You can reach out to your PSM with questions or ideas for further improvements. 

What do installers on EnergySage need to do?

You will need to adjust your marketing pitch which is the top section of your company profile to ensure it displays effectively in the updated quote list view: 

  • Desktop: the average character limit before truncation is around 115 characters, though this may vary depending on character width (e.g., “W” takes up more space).
  • Tablets: the average limit increases to ~190 characters, while on
  • Mobile: it ranges from ~215 to ~375 characters, depending on the device’s screen width.

Please keep in mind that any formatting from your installer profile will not translate well to this view. Please refrain from including headers or bullet points at the beginning of your marketing pitch. Stick to the provided character guidelines to ensure your description remains clear, impactful, and engaging across all devices.
