EnergySage is introducing daily digest emails for new installer messages. Instead of receiving individual email notifications for each message, homeowners can opt in to a single, consolidated daily update.

What’s Changed?

  1. Preferences Dashboard: Shoppers can now choose between real-time notifications or daily digests.
  2. Daily Digest Emails: Instead of receiving individual new message emails, shoppers can opt into a single daily summary including a list of new installer messages with links to view and respond.

Why Did We Make This Change?

Our Shoppers were overwhelmed by the volume of individual message emails. With better email frequency control, shoppers are more likely to remain active customers. Fewer, more meaningful emails can increase open and click-through rates.

How It Works

For Homeowners:

Preferences Dashboard: homeowners can choose between instant notifications (real-time message alerts) or daily digests (consolidated daily summary).


New Message Notifications: Instead of receiving a separate email for each new installer message, shoppers will get a single daily digest. The digest includes:

  • Installer names and message previews.
  • Calls-to-Action (CTAs) to view messages or quotes.
  • A link to manage message preferences.

For you (Installers):

Impact on Responsiveness: you may notice slightly delayed responses from shoppers who choose daily digests. To maintain engagement, optimize your first line of messages to drive clicks from the digest.


Message Center Integration: Homeowners can still respond directly to messages by replying to the digest email. Responses are routed through EnergySage’s message center as usual.

What Action Do You Need to Take?

No immediate action is required from you or homeowners using EnergySage. However, we encourage you to experiment with new message content to enhance engagement with the daily digest. If you want guidance, please reach out to your PSM to discuss strategies!

When Will This Change Be Live?

 This is expected to go live for all users in April 2025.
