Tips to build winning quotes
Follow these tips to offer a competitive quote and speed up sales.
1. Sign up for Calendly (it’s free!)
Or use your preferred calendar-booking platform. Include your calendar link in every quote and message you send.
2. Quote a competitive price
If possible, stay within the PPW parameters shown to you on the ES platform or consult the insights tab to see your competition’s pricing.
3. Offer excellent-rated panels and inverters
Consult the buyer’s guide to determine if your equipment is rated “excellent”. If the products you're offering are rated less than excellent, your pricing should be adjusted accordingly.
4. Create standard packages to expedite your quoting process
Review each lead and select packages to offer each consumer that best fits their needs. You can create packages in the following areas:

Your most popular package

Your most price-conscious package

Your upgraded “luxe” package option.

Financing - Create a range of options.

Incentives - Input all local incentives and use them when applicable.

Contact & Message - Save your intro messages here.

Attachments - Don’t overwhelm consumers with too many attachments.
5. Complete the “Warranty & Notes” section

Warranties: Consumers are looking for a minimum of a 25-year equipment & installation warranty. Explain the warranties you offer. What does the installation warranty cover? What contingencies do you foresee?

Hardware notes. Explain what's unique about your hardware or installation practices. What other brands do you carry?

Cash purchase notes. Provide additional detail about the process and/or benefits of purchasing their system with cash. What does the payment schedule look like?
6. Tailor your quotes to each lead

Your quote should respond to ALL information the consumer has requested in the “Notes” section of the lead - if they ask for batteries or financing, you should offer it.

7. Adjust your quote as needed

Consider updating your quote with adjusted pricing or equipment if you’re not gaining traction with a consumer.
