What should I include as attachments with my quote?

It’s important to include additional information in supplement to the quote that you submit on EnergySage. We’ve found that companies who submit attachments have higher engagement rates than companies who aren’t using this feature. More engagement is a leading indicator of more sales!

Below are several types of attachments that can help customers get to know you and what makes you stand out:

  • An overview pdf of your company — Do you have marketing collateral that you leave with customers when meeting with them in the home? This is a great piece to include as an attachment to your quote. A clean PDF explainer (ex. Meet the team with headshots and descriptions) about your organization can help a customer understand more about your company, which can then build more trust with the customer
  • Install photos — showing examples of your solar installations to shoppers is a great way to strut your stuff and build more trust and credibility! Customers want to know they are working with a true professional who can do the job properly. Showing clean installation photos is a great way to achieve this.
  • An expectation of timelines for the customer’s project — while timelines can vary greatly from region to region, depending on each town’s solar legislation, a general timeline, or average amount of time from start to finish can set proper expectations for customers, thus making the process more realistic. (pro tip: It’s recommended to track this metric if you’re not already doing so!)
  • Certifications — Do you have certifications, partnerships, or industry affiliations that you want to share with customers? Attachments can be a great way to show this to customers, letting them know that you are not only established but additionally certified with the manufacturer.
